Fundfire’s Tom Stabile reports on D.A. Davidson’s decision to move its stand-alone SMA platform to a models-only version powered by Smartleaf’s overlay portfolio management system and model distribution service.
“This was on our agenda then, but frankly, I felt daunted by the idea of having little old D.A. Davidson going out to the managers and telling them to switch to models,” [Cory] Custer says. “It felt really early. But over the last few years, there has been more and more talk about this, and with model distribution services like Smartleaf’s, it has made it a lot easier.”
